He stepped out of his hiding spot behind the bush, just as Develi exited. He looked Cruento in the eyes, hatred bubbling inside him. He was about to speak when he seemed to go into a trance. He swayed slightly before his eyes rolled back in his head. He fell to the ground in slow motion. When he hit the ground a silvery mist rose from his skin, slowly becoming more solid and gaining color. Then the thick mist took the form of a beautiful woman with long, flowing black hair and the same, piercing blue eyes as Vaneer had. It was Selena. She was wearing a long flaming red dress. She stepped over the motionless body of Vanner, towards Cruento. As soon as she had completely left Vaneers body a small golden shield appeared around him, keeping him safe from any harm. Her eyes sank deep into Cruento's. They seemed to be radiating energy. She stopped only meters before him. She raised her hand into the air, pointing it at Nabek's cage. She slowly moved it to the ground beside her. Once it was safely sitting beside her she took a deep breath. Her hand began to glow with a dark light. She reached out and touched the bar nearest to her, without looking at it. Slowly the bar began to melt away. Selena held a look of pure pain on her face, but she didn't remove her hand. Finally, when there was a hole big enough for Nabek to fit through she removed her hand. Slowly the pain on her face faded and she turned to look at Nabek "Go" She said in a soft, distant voice "Tell Develi to stay at Vaneer's with Greco and Tahiri" She smiled at him, then turned back to Cruento, walking closer to him. She stopped only when she was inches from him. "All things must come to and end" She whispered, in that same soft, distant voice. She passed him and bent beside Zala, glaring murderously at her. She placed her hand gently on the womans stomach, then removed it, looking in the direction of the city, as if waiting for something.
