im havin one of my frequent urges to recommend a load of records to people so here you go:

bitches brew by miles davis - this is really hard to listen to in one go but it's a wicked chillout thing - it's called fusion i think it's jazz but with early synths and the odd guitar bit and that - one track is 27 minutes long and another is called 'miles runs the voodoo down' which is just a wicked title.

solid air by john martyn - paul weller was ravin bout this geezer and he's been covering some of the songs of it live and they finally got a copy in the library, it's early seventies acoustic nick drake style and very chilled - track 2 ent too good but the rest is wicked - i don't think even ed could do some of the acoustic guitar stuff on here!

hunky dory by david bowie - i ain't a big bowie fan and some of the lyrics on here are shite but the tunes are top - i love all of side one esp. life on mars then side 2's not that good except andy warhol and the end of the bewlay brothers.

rings around the world by sfa - it's just mega - receptacle for the respectable is absolutely fuckin brilliant but gets ruined by the 'welcome as a raincloud' bit oh well every track is wicked - the techno bit at the end of no sympathy...

i think that's it apart from loads of singles and stuff like ballad of simon diamond by the coral, heroes by bowie and i been getting back into solo paul weller which i ain't played for ages - he's still the fuckin man!
