Righttttttt while we're on the subject of theology I think it's my turn to have a little rant.

I'm agnostic and find all walks of religion and spirituality interesting, although I conform to none of the former I consider myself a spiritual person. In my eyes the beliefs of one individual are no less valid than the beliefs of an established church, nor are they wrong. If anything gives someone a sense of fufillment or whatever then who is anyone to discredit it.

What I do think is wrong however is the subconcious collective prejudice that some, or most, religions evoke. The 'well we're all equal but I'm more equal than you because I believe in God and conform to a set pattern of beliefs' mentality. I saw it in action when I used to attended the Baptist Church. Praying for people who don't have faith, as if it some kind of disability. The only equals are the people of the same faith, it's a spiritual snobbery that all boils down to ignorance.

Hmm, reading back on what I've just written and maybe its a bit harsh. It isn't really intended to be - It's more of my rant on organised religion than anyone specifically. And I'm not saying that all religious people are ignorant before anyone starts, not at all.

Please someone respond...this could be an interesting discussion :o)

Matt
