wwell you did say you wanted people on here

here's an outside casual listener/prospectable buyer of any future produce from the statestable. i'll give my marks from a possible 10 of them demos i got.

Alone and Abrasive - it's a song off incesticide/film for the future with a hint of my own summer but it's good and rockin and the main riff flows nicely but what is a neuro? neurofen? 8/10

Amenities - Hello Radiohead. 4/10

Desiderium - Good but too long, this from a man whose band has a 10 minute instrumental! Nice vox - this is a love song yes? 7/10

Goodbye - sorry I don't like it - it's the use of the word goddamn that gets me - and if you don't say it the lyrics don't sound right and Ash sounds too American for me. I can see it getting to about number 4 and launching State as the new Feeder. 3/10

Little Abuse Me - All back to 1988! If you're into slow headbanging then fair enough but this falls the wrong side of goth poetry for me. Sorry 4/10

Sweet Little Circus Geek - WAHAY! Not so keen on the title - but I get the lyrics and the tune is fucking great - especially the verse and a great build to the CHORUS! C G D or summat innit?? Love that chord sequence - it's in Heroes by Bowie somewhere. Soloing sounds a bit eighties but that might just be the pedal - LOVINITLOVINITLOVINIT but there's a bit that sounds like goodbye - that descending bit - sing along with bit - but it sounds a bit better placed oh what the fuck COS I AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
WAHAY! 40,000,000/10

OVERALL MARKS - Definitely got summat maan but I personally think it lies in the melody rather than the 80s metal/radiohead/early manics stuff it sounds a bit forced either it's making up for the lak of a melody or it's just covering up the melody to make it heavier or odder with circus geek you're on the right track - loud but not heavy - melodic but not forceably so and upbeat without being jolly. sounds natural and flows y'know where i personally think amenities and abuse me sound forced with bits shoved in because you want them there rather than cos they should. Sorry i sound like ryan fucking baxter here but i carnt put it any other way hope i ain't offended you i fucking hate it when people diss my songs.

You can all diss my band soon don't worry

Shaun listening to Ambition by Subway Sect - a tune if ever there was one!
