Subject: bone mass/calcium

Seems like I only post about myself when I post here, but here I go. got a pixa scan (sp) a couple of weeks ago...where they ultrasound your heel. The fact that I broke my rib the way I did raised a red flag Turns out that I have 74% of what a 30-year old should have. you get a t-score...+1 to -1 is normal....I have -1.6 which is in the range of osteopenia. I was shocked bc of the running/wt lifting..I figured that I have density that was above the norm. I'm taking the results of my screening to my follow-up appt next week, where they should refer me for a more detailed scan. Anyway, here is my question. I don't want to do any hormone type thing if they suggest it...there is too much damn risk. What do you guys think?
