This week on GH Alexis begins to suspect she may be pregnant, following her ill-advised one night stand with Sonny. �"She's got those flu-like symptoms," reports NLG, who plays the non-nonsense lawyer. �"Let's put it this way -- she's a little nauseous and a little late." �
�
Alexis is not happy about the possibility of having a child, particularly since in this case it would be with the town mobster, who recently reunited with his ex-wife, Carly.
�
"The situation is very complicated," acknowledges Grahn. �"This is not a happily partnered couple. �This is not a woman sitting around dreaming about having a baby. �She's not what you would call maternal, and she is especially not interested in having a baby with someone else's husband. �Even though they're divorced, Sonny and Carly are for all intents and purposes back together. �This man is not the best choice for her, which is what makes it
dramatically interesting. �Not something you'd want to do in real life, mind you, but on TV, it's fun."

As Alexis' suspicions mount, she makes a trip to the drugstore. �"She goes to buy a pregnancy test, and everyone she knows seems to show up in time to see her reach for the box" chuckles Grah. �"She would never voluntarily tell people about this, but they find out." �

By the end of the week, Alexis will know if she's pregnant. �"There are women who are trying to get pregnant, sitting and waiting for that line to turn blue," muses Grahn. �"But Alexis is one of those people who would throw her head in her hands and say "Oh my God, what the hell happened?" �These are two people who know that being together can only lead to trouble. �The defense attorney and the mobster; they're the uncouple.

An "uncouple" that might be having a baby. � �
�
"I don't want to say that Alexis wouldn't be happy at some point," says Grahn. �"But initially, she would be just freaked. �I don't think she'd ever say it was a mistake because whatever is going on between the two of them is extremely potent. �There's a deep connection there. �This news would be so bad, yet so good at the same time."

For her part, Grahn hopes that not only will her character turn out to be pregnant, but that she'll carry the baby to term. �"I could eat cheeseburgers all summer," enthuses the actress. �"They wouldn't put me in anything tight. �The timing would be perfect."
