Subject: The Palistinian Lament

I heard another Palestinian call a radio talk show today and start blabbing about how would you like it if someone came to your home and kicked you out......I wouldn't like that one bit; but since that is NOT what happened in what is now Israel, why not use an analogy based in reality.

Let's say you were living in a run down neighborhood, not doing all that well, but getting by the best you could. Over time people started BUYING homes, moving to the neighborhood and fixing them up. These people were mostly Methodists and you, as a Baptist, hated Methodists. Over time, the Methodists BOUGHT enough houses so that they were nearly equal in number to the Baptists. Not only that, but they worked hard and built up the neighborhood to become the most prosperous neighborhoods in the city. Then one day, in a neighborhood on the other side of town, someone started killing Methodists for fun. The Methodists in your neighborhood called out to their pals and invited them to move in to this safer neighborhood. So many Methodists moved in that they got together and decided to break from the city and set up their own city government. Granted there was some typical back room deals and questionable tactics used to set up their own city, but in the end, with the support of other cities around the nation, Methodisville was established.

This urinated off the Baptists living nearby. They called upon the Baptists in Methodistville to come out of Methodistville and together they would drive Methodistville into the river. Some Baptists did this, some stayed put. The Methodists proved to be tougher than the Baptists reckoned and when pushed, the Methodists rose up and took more Baptist neighborhoods. This went on for several generations.

Over time, the Baptists came to covert their old houses and shops in Methodistville. Rather than return with hat and hand and ask to be let back into Methodistville as honest, hard working citizens, the Baptists claimed that their homes had been stolen and this gave the Baptists the right to murder innocent Methodist women, children, and old men. The Baptists who originally called their brothers out of Methodistville were tired of supporting them and thought an endless war would be a good way of ridding themselves of BOTH problems, and so encouraged this wholesale slaughter. They offered monetary rewards to the family of dead murderers, which in the Baptist land of poverty, was one of the few ways of getting ahead. So the Baptists started teaching their children to hate and to murder and to commit suicide.

When the Methodists tired to protect themselves they were called terrorists. And the entire region slowly went down the toilet.
