Please do not buy canned tuna from Papua New Guinea. The can will say "Product of Papua New Guinea" and will have an "RD" as part of the imprint on the top of the tin. These cans are from RD Tuna Cannery which is mistreating workers in Papua New Guinea and preventing the customary tribal landowners from using some of the last land they have left. The tuna cannery is to build another big sweatshop on this land, polluting the local environment,treating its workers like pigs and bribing local leaders to look the other way. They show little respect for the people or the village traditions. RD tuna's boats have promoted a local prostitution trade. RD's employees are told to wipe their asses with their hands instead of using toilet paper.
