The Stream
You trot towards the stream; lower your head to sip the refreshing water. As it slides down your throat you become aware of a crowd of horses. You raise your head and find yourself looking into the eyes of a black stallion. Astonished, you stare at him, but he disappears, apparently into thin air. Dream of Paradise walks to your side, a laughing look in her eyes. *That was Rainbow’s Divide.* Her forelock flips into her eyes and she shakes it out amiably. *He pops up sometimes.* She smiles, and is gone.
Perplexed, you start walking towards the horses.
This is where herds stay when they don’t have a territory. Mares can be claimed here as well.
