No kidding. Can't someone be excited that an up and coming 20 year old got his first big pro victory? No one cries when Petacchi loses a minute on mountain stages (actually they'd be psyched). And no I'm not comparing a 20 year old who has won a Euro stage to Petacchi, I'm merely saying that not all riders care (gasp) about their position overall.
Why can't America groom a sprinter? Does everyone in the world have to compete for the GC in the Giro Tour Vuelta? What about the one days?
