It could beone of a few things, first Ignition system and fuel systems would be the first order of business, I dont know what you have replaced so far as you've had the car, but try by replacing the fuel filter, because clogging in the filter could cause the car not to respond to acceleration at low at low fuel flow, i.e. 0-45 MPH, If the problem still persists, Plugs, Cap and Rotor. Make sure that if you purchase these things specifically are mitusbishi and not aftermarket, the cap, rotor, and plugwires. You will experience problems if they are aftermarket as I did. Next would be the intake or throttle body, needs to be cleaned after every threet housand miles, Doing this correctly is important, do not spray intake cleaner into the throttle body, remove the plastic intake piping from the throttle body, spray the intake cleaner on a rag, open the throttle by hand without the car running and use something like a screwdriver to wrap the rag around and clean the inside of the throttle body in that way. If you spray the cleaner into the intake while the car is running as the directions for air intake cleaner say, you will clog your stepper valve and ICM, idler control motor. This is costly to replace when it goes bad, and is the main reason alot of Diamantes, stall when comming to a stop or at idle. Even with my wholesale price this thing is like 350. If you have put aftermarker wires on, there will be arc of the wires causing misfire, because mitsubishi coils provide a higher degree of voltage thru the wires, aftermarket wires are not cut to length, whci I found is very important, I went thru 3 sets of wires and replaced everything only to find that the wires were the problem.
I need to know how many mile are on your car and if you have had a timing belt and or valve seals changed yet.
Hope some of this helps, and thanks for joining the board
