Oil Painting by A. Earl Hedrick, Art Director, Bonanza

I'm hoping someone here can help me with my research on a landscape oil painting I own. The painting is by A. Earl Hedrick, the Art Director who worked on Bonanza. It's my understanding that he co-designed the Ponderosa with Hal Pereira.

I haven't been able to find much information about Mr. Hedrick online, aside from his film and TV credits. He passed away in 1985.

The painting is a fairly large oil landscape on board that's similar to the terrain in the TV series. It's not dated, but appears to be from the 60s or 70s.

I wasn't able to find any other paintings by A. Earl Hedrick, so I have no idea if this was something he painted to display in his home, or something that's somehow tied into his work on Bonanza.

Any information you feel may be helpful would be greatly appreciated.

Can you be a bit more specific? Contacting Earl Hedrick's g-son would be way cool! Unfortunately a "google" search turned up nothin' with your limited info. Just a bloke in England in the aviation profession. Doubt it's the real McDonald . . .
