Take heart Albo,

If you tried to visit "The Ponderosa Nevada" recently, it has been closed for quite a while. But if you scroll down to my posting on this forum about the "Bonanza Diamond Jubilee" held in Mesa in February this year, there is some info about the House being moved. It is not lost, and they took great pains to preserve it. It will be moved, but the location has not yet been determined for sure.

Plus, You can visit some of the Bonanza filming location sites in the Lake Tahoe area. Several are public places.

A friend of mine and I drove to Mesa in February and on the way we stopped at Bowers Mansion, seen in Season 1 Episode 7 "The Saga of Annie O'toole" for example.

On this web-site Rick has done a fine job of posting all of the location sites.

Happy Trails!

Gary McDonald
