Subject: The reason why Candy left home was revealed in "A Girl Named George"

The scene that follows Cato's acquittal in court takes place in the living room with the Cartwrights and Candy. Joe is fuming mad and the picture of them, the Ponderosa hands and Cato opens the scene. In fact, Joe is so upset, he wants to go back and kill him. How did he get in the picture? This segment has been heavily cut in reruns and Candy starts his part by revealing his Dad gave him a lecture and that is why he left home. One may recall Candy tells Ben, "I'm not giving a fatherly lecture, but that's a shadow isn't it?" When season 9 DVD set comes out and that scene will be there!
