[The
scene opens up inside a packed bar. It is Friday night and the pool
tables, games, bar seats, and bathroom are all shoulder to shoulder. The
camera flies down and through the crowd settling on the back of a large
man. This man is wearing a black leather jacket and has his left hand in
his blue jean pocket. His right arm is bent at the elbow, obviously
holding a beer. As the camera comes around the side of the mans face we
can see that it is indeed Ty Dhomie. As the camera gets a full shot of his
face we can see that the bandage is still on the left side of his
forehead. The bandage is still wet, as presumable the cut has not closed,
nor has it healed. As Ty stares out the window in what is now a usual
nothingness stare the camera focuses in on his cut. Suddenly a large hand
comes down on Ty's shoulder. Ty spins around quickly and comes face to
face with a familiar face in front of him. The large figure is also clad in a
black, leather jacket. His long blond hair drapes onto his shoulders and his
cold blue eyes are set in a friendly face. His long green jeans lead down to a
pair of steel-toed, black biker boots.]
Friend:
Well, you invited me to a bar...you must want something from me.
[The
man laughs and shakes hands with Ty Dhomie before joining him at his
table.]
Ty:
Well, how ya been? You been keeping up with current events?
Friend:
Of course my friend. I have been enjoying every week of it. You have
really turned the CWA into something spectacular. I have to admit though.
I am concerned with your decision to step back into the ring.
Ty:
Why is that Scot?
[The
new man who Dhomie has exposed to be his long time friend, Lord Scot
stares at his glass of beer before answering Dhomie.]
Scot:
I have always known you for your passion for wrestling but I thought you
were dead set to control this thing from the front office.
Ty:
I was, and in a way I still am. But I found myself missing the ring
and competition too much to stay away. My whole life I've been
wrestling and I missed it too much.
Scot:
Ty, even with all your experience...do you really think it is a good idea
to get involved in a match where this little punk Xavier is going to have
three bodies in his corner?
Ty:
Is it a good idea? Probably not. I know that Xavier is a
spineless little shit and that any chance he can get to grab the upper
hand he will do it. And I am fully expecting those three robots to
get involved, but I am going to have to take that in stride.
Scot:
I really think you need to think this over. As much as I have faith in
your ability...the numbers game can always make a huge difference.
Ty:
So then why don't you accompany me for my big return?
[Lord
Scot grins and takes another shot of his beer, finishing off the glass. He
looks up at Ty Dhomie.]
Scot:
Back in your corner eh Ty? That would really be something, and would
certainly make things a little more fair. Even so...I should try to track
down ole Celtica for an extra pair of eyes. I know he has been out of
action for a while and would love to be near a wrestling ring again.
Ty:
It would be great to see Celtica again, it has been way too long.
Scot:
Well Ty, I think it would be safe to say...with your consent as President,
you will have some friends in your corner. But I have to say my concerns
do not end there.
[Ty
drinks his beer as he awaits Scot to continue on.]
Scot:
With you entering the ring again, are you going to be distracted from your
front office duties at all? I mean...as much as your pride means to you,
are you risking it as President by getting in the ring with a guy who
wants to end more than just your career?
Ty:
I don't think so. In order for him to do that then it would have to
be true that he is capable of doing such a thing. I don't think he
is capable of ending anything. His points aboot my time though are
quite well founded. I am having trouble finding enough time to get
in the type of training that I would like to do for such a match while I
have so much to do front office wise. You know me, I have found a
way to create that time and my training is very strong, but it remains
difficult still.
Scot:
I know, your dedication can one day be your downfall. Listen...Mike Lamb
seems to be in limbo and Mark Mckelvey is way over the edge. Although
Xavier may not be able to hurt your status, I think you may be leaving
yourself open for an over throw from someone else.
Ty:
The only real threat of that is Mckelvey...and I'm not so sure he is
intelligent enough to pull that off, but it would serve me well to have
someone I can actually trust in the office with me...
Scot:
Ty...you invited me to this meeting and chose the location so you know I
am not asking this of you because I need something to do...but as little
experience I have in front office work, you know you can trust me and I
know I can learn a lot from you.
Ty:
What did you call Miss Cleo before you came here tonight...I can always
teach you the necessary skills for front office,,,,but you have to be
content in such a position...
Scot:
Content? Of course I would be content my friend...and then some. Many
years ago Ty...I taught you many things and I would be honoured to be
taught...a lesson! And I would equally be honoured to watch your back when
you are in the ring.
Ty:
And so it is done Scot...
[The
camera focuses in on the table as the two old friends get another round of
drinks and continue to catch up as the scene fades to commercial.]
