Subject: The Track

With my work schedule it is impossible to get home and get a run in after work before it gets dark. I also live in the quasi-country with no street lights or sidewalks and a lot of scary dogs not on leases. So I have taken to running on the track. It's a little boring at times, but there's something about getting settled into your pace and just letting the laps tick off one by one. Then when you are nearing the end, gearing up for the last lap and running just a little harder than your were before because that's what we're wired to do and we can't really think of doing anything else.
