hi! it's me again! i wanted to share a thought and wanted to hear your opinion about it! many people think the shows angel and buffy will probably end at the same time. and many fans want them to get back together at the end (when he becomes human again). i also read an interview with smg where she said she would like to see these two characters get back together. if joss whedon really decides to do his fans that favour, for me it would be quite unfair for the character of cordelia. i mean if they really plan to go that way they should not even start an a/c - ship. that would only diminish her character. i would be very upset because i like cordy.

I prefer to think of this as a fork in the road... they can go two different ways(or more) it's just all about choosing the path.... For one, I agree with you.. if they turn this C/A loving into a brief interlude... It would just negate any character development they've been given over the years... and Angel still has a contract for two more seasons... Buffy only has it for one.. so maybe... just maybe- C/Aers will be the victors... although I'd probablally have as many friends crying over it as they were rejoicing...

You know, I probably wouldn't have agreed with you about it being a betrayal of their growth (even though I am in no way hoping for a B/A reunion)....but I watched the Buffy rerun on FX tonight where Angel goes back for Joyce's funeral....and I just kept thinking how completely weird it was, and it just didn't seem like Angel should have been there. (and don't even get me started on how it is supposed to fit into the timeline of his epiphany last Spring). I don't know *why* it was so off....it just was.

I am one of those who enjoyed B/A back in the day...and really, that ep predates my staunch C/A conversion, so I don't think that's why it bugs me. I don't know, there was just *something* about the scene that bothered me....Angel as a *character* seemed off. And that pretty much convinces me that the idea that he and Buffy would ultimately end up together *does* deny all the things he has learned and become these last few years. The only way it wouldn't seem like that was if they had some real time on screen together again to reconnect....and that would mean one of the two "headlining stars" going to be second banana on the other's show....and that ain't gonna happen!

Thing change....and who knows where we will be a year from now (after all, who could have predicted all this C/A yumminess last year during the beige period?), but for now I feel like Angel and Cordy's furture together is the most organic ending to what we have been shown.
