That is the question.
I don't have Foxtel or any of that sort of thing. I almost never watch TV. It is a medium I detest. Yhe reason is you never get anything discussed in depth.
They use these so called "credible" talking heads, and thus present everything in 45 second sound bytes, as if that is the only point of view. I think the worst offender was Nona Went, or was it Jana Went. Not to mention the sloppy journalism she indulged in. As far as movies go - I prefer to read a book. I get better pictures.
Most sport is better in real life than on TV. The only exceptions, are those sports that cover a fair distance, such as car racing. you do miss the sound and the smell though. I guess one could burn some "Racing A", and some car-tyre in a saucer. The wife screaming, when you do this, should take care of the sound bit.
