Because of the amount of time and dedication needed to run a National Pageant, the Board of Directors decided to not hold one this August because of Time (in getting delegates and making arrangements.) 6 girls, including Miss New Brunswick Canada 2011 and Miss Southwestern NS 2010 (and a couple of more) along with Alexandra were looked at for the title. In the end it was decided on Alexandra and she accepted. The board wants to make sure that the Miss Collegiate Canada and Miss High School Canada pageant is well planned out and organized, and felt that trying to do everything in only 7 months was a little rushed. -- Canadian Pageant Fans' HQ
