The dress is great...the headdress is an insult to Natives everywhere. Did they not recall the backlash from Shandi FInnisey or Kimberly Pressler???? Whether she is native or not women did not ever wear the headdress or warbonnet, it is a very ceremonial only worn by chiefs and warriors, sometimes women were chiefs but never wore the warbonnets. Why dont designers research before they design???? I think the dress is beautiful and does represent Haida artwork, but the warbonnet is too much, just too much... (NT)Christi14:45:50 09/08/11 Thu
I saw pictures from the presentation show. Chelsea looked good in the parade of nations and swimsuit. But EG??? What was she thinking??? That dress may get this year's award for ugliest gown. It was horrible. So sad - where are her stylists? Who okayed that red monstrosity? (NT)Buster12:47:51 09/09/11 Fri
Sooo.. no one has posted their thoughts about MU. I'm a little surprised. My opinion, I think Miss Angola is lovely and I really like her. I'm glad she won! I was however, shocked that some of the power house countries were left out of the top 10: USA, Venezuela, Puerto Rico,, and I loved Miss Netherlands! (NT)Karen12:29:39 09/14/11 Wed
I'd LOVE to hear Chelsea's side on how her wardrobe was chosen, how her experience there was and everything surrounding the controversy over Miss Angola winning - Angola was beautiful and no doubt deserved it but they are out for her head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job Chelsea!!!! (NT)Sissi12:11:10 09/16/11 Fri
