Wow there are a lot of posts about the reputability of some Canadian pageants! It is a lot to read and I am a bit confused. My daughter wants to get involved with pageants nationally and internationally. But I want to make sure she doesn't get herself into any scam pageants. I have done my research and found out about MUC and MTCW. Any other national pageants? Any other international pageants that picks Canadian representatives? How could you get started? Subject Author Date MUC to go to Miss Universe, they also send to a few other international pageants. Miss Teen Canada World has most directorships to international pageants. The rest IN MY OPINION are not good. Miss World Canada sends to Miss World but as a pageant is kind of a joke. The 'Miss Canada TM & Miss Teen Canada TM' out of quebec is an absolute joke and Miss Canada Globe is an out and out scam. Hope that helps. It really depends on what your daughters goals are tho and her age and if she is drop dead gorgeous or just average....if she doesnt look like Miss Universe, no point in following that road.... Yes, Miss Canada Globe and Globe Petite are surrounded by scandal and I would never recommend that pageant for anyone, but not all the other Canadian pageants are negative or scams. There are bigger pageants and smaller pageants. Some send Internationally, some don't don't, and that goes for both the bigger and smaller pageants. There are both big intenational pageants and small international pageants, so it really depends on what you and your daughter are looking for, as well as her pageant experience.
