In reply to: Past Miss Canada Globe Contestant 's message, "I'm sorry, I should clarify. Yes the entry fee included the accomodations. I meant that even if MCP paid for my flight, entry fee, etc. etc. I' still wouldn't enter the pageant. Waste of time. Their fitness test was seeing who can run around a field the fastest...Not whether they are actually athletic." on 23:55:56 09/01/10 Wed

The year I competed we didn't have a fitness test nor did we have an INTERVIEW!!!! I dont remember what hotel we stayed in but the theater was on the corner of Jane and Finch...when we got there we were "locked in" and "were not to leave or go outside because it is a dangerous part of town" yet this is where the selected to host 30 young women for the day. I'd never ever return whether the cost was $3000, $30, or free!!!! (NT)another past contestant08:28:47 09/03/10 Fri
O M G I'm sorry I shouldn't be loling but I am. Poor girls :( I think if I was a parent I would have flipped right out of my mind at that point. Who puts young girls intentionally in harms way!?!?!??!!??!?! Thats just beyond reasoning *sigh* cant wait till it just goes away and lets the real and good pageants shine thru. I hope the negative experiences don't affect you deciding to pursue other pageants in the future, they really arent all that bad! Miss Canada Universe, Miss Canada International and Miss Teen Canada World are all really good events, hope you and other past delegates look into one of them and don't let this ridiculous globe system ruin your chance to live your dream!
