| Subject: As I said, from the delegates I worked with, which would be the other girl in the photograph, and the 3 she mentions in the article. As I said, they had a wonderful experience, but the host/director who was responsible for the event in Jamaica really dropped the ball. I have no doubt that the pageant owners were unaware of his lack of organization but it was in fact less than what they would have expected for thier brand. (there is more, click in) |

The girls did say they got to visit some schools which they loved. I am by no means ripping on the Miss UN pageant system, but there were a lot of problems with the Jamaican director and he was in fact arrested and there is an investigation, being spearheaded by the resort owner, who likely just wants to be paid! The event was supposed to be a lot bigger, if you look at the website there are a ton of girls on there, but they did not all show up. The Jamaican director told me himself that the page would be updated I thihnk the 3rd day of the pageant week as the 'web designer had just flown in' however it never changed. The girls who were there, who competed gave me the rundown of the pageant, sponsors, delegates, judges, volunteers from hotel etc all pitched in to make it happen.
