An Albertan is in the running for the title "Miss World Canada".

Meghan Rountree, a second year student at Red Deer College, is heading to Toronto next week as a finalist in the 2009 national pageant.

The 20-year-old is joining 45 contestants from across Canada for five days of talent & fitness challenges (Mar. 17-21) with the winner crowned as "Miss Canada" at a special gala night.

You can cast a vote for Meghan, or any other woman, to win the "People's Choice Award" on the Miss World Canada 2009 website. (ccg)
