Im new to the pageant industry and to this forum...I want to introduce myself. Im Autumn =)

I was reading the earlier comments and I agree that Canada hasn't been sending very stong girls to MU the past few years. Its a shame cause Canada has the potential..in my opinion..to be one of the powerhouses. We have beautiful, smart, charming girls from all over the world! I think its a lack of preparation from BOC. Which is wierd because isnt the director from central or south america? If anyone knows how to do pagents its them. Girls in South America are so much more prepared even for a small local pageant than most girls here were prepared for MUC.

I was speaking to some girls who competed in MU 2008 and, being new to this industry, I was shocked at how much preperation they go through before MU...from learning how to do hair and make up..to public speaking..to walking. And this wasn't just a few classes here and there...this was 3 or 4 times a week for however many months they have before MU. From what I know BOC doesnt do that...or can someone fill me in on that.

Also with the national costume...the past 2 years have been a very sad attempt, if thats what you can call it. Put Canada's costume beside Colombia's, Thailand's, or Brazil's costumes and it looks like a joke. We have so much beauty to show the world..and all they can come up with is a simple hockey uniform or a plain native costume.

Im not trying to bash MUC I just think if Canada wants to be taken seriously at MU, BOC needs to step up and prepare these girls.
