Why does this event always have such difficulty attracting a respectable number of contestants? If I ever won a pageant, and beat one or two other contestants, i don't think I'd ever be able to tout myself as a 'national titleholder'. (NT) -- G, 06:56:20 07/25/08 Fri

It's been in Toronto - it's now in Ottawa - big deal - it is the NATIONAL CAPITAL!... same problem. Toronto didn't attract more people - don't know why - I've competed - it's VERY professional... oh well - they keep on fighting! (NT) Past delegate 10:46:12 07/25/08 Fri

But I don't see much advertising for this pageant beyond the odd post on here. Have you seen other places where they advertise? That is a big reason why they didn't attract more people in Toronto..I've watched a friend in the pageant, but I haven't competed myself. (NT) -- jmo, 12:28:47 07/25/08 Fri

Advertising takes money - We already foot 50% of the production cost out of our salary therefore, cannot afford the $5000+ charges to advertise anywhere. It's been slowly growing but nicely and steadily growing - we had a Toronto prelim and it wasn't worth it. It is now in Ottawa to stay - a national pageant in the national capital and we are truly welcomed here (unlike Toronto) since we are the only national pageant here. Hopefully you all will come support us by watching the show and, over the years, watch us continue to grow. Tickets will be on sale shortly through Ticketmaster.
