Subject: Is anyone else going to watch the Miss USA pageant tonight? I know it's not Canadian but since they won't air our pageants what else can you do? Like Arizona, Hawaii and maybe Maryland and I hear Tennesee is a bit difficult. Overall it was a good show but didn't care for the lame jokes by the hosts.Donny and Marie, she looked great but their not funny. Good music for the different segments and the winner was a pleasant surprise, 1st runner up was a shocker though I would have chosen differently (flipped 1st and 2nd runner ups) but agreed with other choices. In her interview, she stated that she really thought she would win (I may be skewing it a bit), but you could tell she knew she had it! Confidence is key, and if you can convey it, then the world is yours! Now as an aside though, I thought initially that Oklahoma had it. She killed the scores with the evening gown, but the questions really brought out the girls--I actually wanted New Jersey to win! She was beautiful and so down to earth. But great show overall--just wasn't a fan of the "break" after naming the 2nd runner up. Who leaves us in a commercial break when the winner is to be named?!
