Her fingers tight in his, she let him unlock the door before leading the way in and releasing his hand only so she could wrestle off her strappy heels and hang up both of their jackets. When all that was taken care of and she turned back to face him, her features softened a little and she just ran a hand slowly up his arm as she reached up to press a warm but brief kiss to the side of his mouth before stepping back a little. "What do you want to do, love? Can I get you something to eat or drink?" Her head dipped forward a fraction and just her eyes turned up to him, voice soft in the silent apartment. All she wanted that night was to do whatever she could to relieve some of his stress and maybe take his mind off everything that was going on - of course Adam was just best friend and she never expected him to just forget about it all, but wasting away into depression and alcoholism wouldn't help Adam at all...
