You have what is called a Fancy Dial. Elgin made a lot of them, and if your watch says Elgin on the movement or the gears of the watch, then it's an Elgin, made in 1893, has 7 jewels, and is a size 18s.
There are not a lot of them in that size, however their were a lot of them made, just not in very good condition.
As far as it being gold, on the face of the watch, it is gold, and the case is something else. You need to know who made it, and sometimes they are not marked correctly, so make sure.
