 You have to open the watch and list the numbers that are on the movement, that's the gears of the watch. Make sure it says Elgin on it, and list the number, and I can tell you all about it.
Watches do get scraped a lot, so it's not necessarily stolen.
You have to either unscrew it, or pop it open by a small bump our at the top of the watch. (if it has one) otherwise it unscrewes.
