I saw a B.W. Raymond circa 1895 with 15 - 17 jewels and adjustable. Also, the watch has Roman numerals on the dial. Would this have been considered a railroad watch? The reason I ask is that according to Shugate's book a railroad watch did not have Roman numerals and I thought usually had more jewels. It is possible that I've misread what Shugate said, but your feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
Also, I say a B.W. Raymond circa 1904 with 17 jewels and adjustable. This watch has regular numbers (as opposed to Roman Numerals?. Would this have been considered to be a railroad watch? In this case, I thought that a railroad watch more often than not had 21 jewels. Thanks.
