 Could anyone tell me what 'ROY' stands for in the following description of an Elgin 554 watch?

This is an estate fresh find & up for auction with NO RESERVE ! Elgin 554 men's 15 jewel wristwatch with original purple crystal & original leather band. . Marked with Serial # C774661 Elgin 554 15 jewels on the back of the works & marked on the inside of the back cover ROY Elgin National Watch Co #484406
