According to the records in the 1915 Elgin Material Catalog, serial number 110212 is a Farwell grade (as does the online database, which is based on the old Elgin records). The company records aren't 100% accurate, however, and several errors or discrepancies are known to exist.
There are two possibilities: first, that the watch is a Wheeler grade, and the serial number records are in error. Or, that the train bridge (the plate with the Wheeler name and serial number) is not original to the watch, and has been replaced at some point.
There is only one way to know for certain, but it requires some disassembly of the watch to figure out. The serial number (or at least most of it) will also be stamped on the underside of the other major parts. So if either the barrel bridge (which has the "Elgin, Ill." engraving) or the balance cock is removed and turned over, it will have some or all of "110212" stamped on the underside. If the numbers all match, then the watch is original. If they don't, then the train bridge has been replaced with a part from another watch.
