Subject: Grandfather's Elgin Pocket Watch

My grandfather's Elgin pocket watch is open face, in silver plate or possibly sterling. On the face there is an American Flag, Elgin National Watch Co., and the word WALSTRUT, which I cannot identify anywhere on Elgin sites. It runs and keeps good time. The glass front is beveled, and the stem is at the 12 o'clock position, and there are roman numerals. I think that my grandpa bought the watch somewhere from 1910 to 1930. Is there any way to narrow the time down from this information? I hate to take the watch apart because it runs fine, although I suppose I could take it to a watchmaker and have them get the serial number information inside. Thanks for any assistance.
