Well I got stuck in either a mini hurricane or tornado last night. There I am in the middle of nowhere coming back from London on a side road, a detour roud when it hits. Debris from trees and farms FLYING, rain and wind so severe I could not tell where I was. Stuff hitting the windshield sounding like gunfire. It was FREAKY. If anybody ever tells me a hurricane, tornadoe, earthquake or any other major disaster is on the way..my ass is out of town.
Never thought I'd live to see the day that PUBLIC school sports were cost prohibitive and only available for rich kids. Just had to tell Cole, last years Jr. Male Athlete of the Year, that he couldn't play this year due to the BIZARRE increase in fees. VOLLEYBALL..typically the least expensive was listed as one hundred dollars. HELLO. This is a public school. I am alternating between incredibly pissed off at the school and sad for Cole. Basketball..his absolute favourite is going to be "around" five hundred dollars. Where do they get off pulling shit like this. CRAP. DO NOT MENTION THIS TO MOM OR DAD OR I SWEAR I WILL NEVER TALK TO YOU AGAIN. The never ending uncovered debt from Jess's accident is catching up to us. We always knew it would...we were just kind of hoping to have found higher income by then...not going to happen. Unless Bruce goes back to school for 3 years to get his RN he can't get hired anywhere else as anything but casual call in (due to our lovely govt cutbacks and new RN/RPN union rules) Can't move to the states for a number of reasons so it looks like our only option is to sell the house, pay off what we can (we'll still have debt) and at least avoid bankruptcy. I am NOT asking for donations of money...I am venting.
Well...Bruce just tells me our clothesline snapped in two from the winds...better go clear the yard of anything under a hundred pounds.
