Alia stood there in the doorway with her fist held up ready to knock again. She stayed frozen for a moment wide-eyed at the sudden response, then fumbled some words.
"Uh......um, yes. Yes, I do." she said, briefly answering his question. Still a little stunned, she stared at the remarkable man in front of her. Quickly realizing she was staring at the man, Alia caught herself and drew her eyes to the floor, at the feather. She hastily bent down to pick it up, not even noticing that poor Mr. Beeba was thrown from her shoulder.
"Um....your feather,....sir." She reached up and fixed the feather back onto the hat, letting loose a little smile.
