He hated Starlight and myself from the moment we came into this world, for he could sence that we had Magic, something ne'er before found in females. He tried everything he could to get us to join him, for even at a young age, our Magics were strong and powerful. When we were twelve when he first attacked. He and Father fought, and Father won that time. Father was . . perfect. He taught both Starlight and myself so much, not only about Magic, but life as well after that fight, refining our skills and trust in ourselves right up until . . . Until two years ago.
Tears, never before released in front of a living person, now cascade freely down her face. Not bothering to wipe them off, she continues, her voice breaking to cover a sob.
Wildfire and I were gone at the time, helping the unicorns fight off an attack of the rouge dragons. When we returned . . .
Her voice faultered as she closed her eyes, bringing into painful clearity the image branded in her mind forever.
They were dead by the time taht I returned . . . I'll never be able to forget it. Jarodion and Blarad, his Dragon, ambushed them. They never had a chance. He took every one I ever cared for from me that night, and if Wildfire hadn't held me to life though sheer will . . . I wanted to die, I tried to.
She looks up at him then, eyes such a dark grey that no doubt could be left to the torment inside of her.
I've never told this to another soul Liam, I rarely think of it to myself any more. Jarodion murdered my parents and my twin in cold blood, and he will not rest until I am dead also. That is a warning to you, Liam, if you you live here, your life is in danger. I never known when he will return.
She's quiet then, waiting his responce.
