BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) -- A bride-to-be and her bridesmaid were killed in a car accident after a driver ran a red light.
Twenty-three year-old Vanessa Wolff and friend Jessica Boumans, who is also 23, were having a girls night out in Boca Friday night. Police said a Ford Explorer, driven by Edwin Perez, ran a red light and slammed into the girl's Mercedes, killing them instantly.
Boumans and Wolff died at the scene.
Paula Coccia, 23, of Pennsylvania, was taken to Delray Medical Center where she was in serious condition. A fourth woman received minor injuries.
Perez, of Boca Raton was arrested and charged with reckless driving, D-U-I manslaughter and death of a fetus. Toxicology reports are pending.
