i got it working. the problem was actually because of my solution to the "no constructor body found" problem. i had read in the help text that if you get that error to give the function a body so i put put "inventory() {};" in the class. i forgot about this and it was acting as a body alright. afte i deleted this it worked fine. for the other problem with the parameter data type not being found, i just created a file "classes.h" that has a prototype of every class used in the headers. let me know if you have any better ideas, because i didn't. i COULD just have a prototype for the necissary classes but i'd have to add prototypes for every new data type used in the methods.
