As the sun went down behind the hills and the dust settled at Hill Country Raceway saturday night.Race fans got to see a first time winner in sportsman,a battle in hobby stock that reminds you of the old days neither driver givin an inch.Street stock that had the most cars yet AND A VERY WILD START.With some new cars making the trip.In which everyone loves to see.

In the hobby stock division. The green flag flew with #61 John Skrumeda{the killer bee}taking the lead with #11 Gary Dean jr and #21h Richard Hearn on his tail, #5 Mark Pivarnik looking for a hole.#61 John Skrumeda led the first three laps , til he pushed up in turn 1 ,it was just enough room for #11 Gary Dean to move in front .With #5 Pivarnik getting by Hearn and Skrumeda. The chase was on as Pivarnik closed in on Gary Dean. With 2 to go Pivarnik made is move with Dean not giving an inch , the 2 battling down the frontstretch neck and neck,Pivarnik flirting with the inside tire, escapes near disaster.Dean skates up the track letting Pivarnik buy for the win.

Street stocks started out with a bang.As new cars made the trip. We want to thank them.Making that the biggest class yet.As the green flag drop the dust flew with the cars spinning in turn one bringing out the caution. On the restart ,#25 Wesley Skains spinning in turn one collecting M.K Wallace #48x, and every one else spinning to avoid the mayhem.Third times a charm with #99 Rob Martin grabbing the lead, with the rest of the pack trying to keep up pace. The caution flew again for spin in turn one,and #53 Matt fox exiting with broken tranny line, resulting in a fire. The green fell again with martin in the lead and Wesley Skains and M.K Wallace fighting threw the pack.the caution flew once more as M.K Wallace rear end broke sending him to the pits.and Wesley Skains blowing a tire.turning second place over to #38 Timothy Payne. With Rob Martin making it interesting spinning in turn 4 on last lap.still held on for the win.

the sportsman class saw a first time winner at H.C.R.With Harlin Covert #60 making a hard charge the last few weeks falling short to the #38 Yankee Payne's on going win streak.Finnally his luck changed.grabbing the lead from the yankee on lap 3 LOW IN turn 2 .Rodger Baker #1 took over second place on the next lap sneeking by Yankee.Yankee Payne exiting on lap 5 with steering problems.lyonwebber#5 took over third. With Covert cruising to his first win holding off a hard charging Baker.CONGRATS MR. COVERT.

I WANNA THANK ALL THE DRIVERS/FANS THAT HAVE BEEN MAKING THE TRIP.AND TO ALL HOMETRACK BOYS/MEN HA HA FOR MAKING THEM WELCOME.THANKS GUYS.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.FOR EVERYONE WONDERING HOW THINGS ARE GOING THERE GREAT .SO COME AND SEE US. LETS GO RACING.
