As I Turn Page After Page

Writing a few lines here
Another verse there
Along with happiness
There was also despair

Whilst writing in silence
Words are company
When thoughts gather
I take a stroll in memory

It became like a journey
Across written pages
Staying true to the path
Upon the various stages

Recollecting heart notes
I glanced back in time
Yesteryears to present
Feelings flowed in rhyme

As I turn page after page
Writing helps me cope
It also gave me reason
To share in love and hope
