Squalls of geese in wave after wave
Soaring under leaden skies on frosty morn
The gentle crash of acorns in a gloaming wood
Leaves once verdant and lush, now turning crisp and dry
Forest's and wood's ablaze like a fiery cauldron of colour
Tho summer's heat has long since been vanquished
Days shortening as winter peeks over a distant horizon
A hazy lazy sun bids farewell to the day
As the silvery moon creeps upon it
Sky slowly darkening to inky blackness
Starry pinpricks paint the night time canvess
Shimmering and glittering the surround the lunar halo
AThe traverse the forbidding silent heavens
Now days light up, breath fresh and sharp
Squirrels forage and gather through the mossy green blanket
The New Year gradually becomes wrinkled and old
As the seasons change and summer sun melts to autumn gold
