It was two am in the morning when I realized
My Muse had left me...I lit a cigarette
I could not think straight..I sipped the glass
Nothing could I recall...
a wall of black swayed in front of me
So I picked up the phone and dialed...

Hello ...Can you please help me
Yes...My Muse is missing
I held the venetian in a v shape with finger
Neon lights flickered outside my window
There were murders and robberies
But I was helpless ,,,my muse had left me

An APB was posted for my Muse
Every damn copper in the city was on alert
But in such a big meandering city
It was as if Muse had been swallowed up
I searched the alleyways and Brownstones
But there was nothing to be found or seen ...

It had become a big cold place to be
I could feel the strange urges of inspiration
Without Muse I could not understand their meaning
I was so desperate and shaking with rage
I just had to turn to the next page
