once upon a special place
a beautiful child God was born
a promise of his father fulfilled
in the east three wise kings had a dream
and God had moved their hearts
God placed a new star in the sky
They would go upon a journey
and follow to its resting place
each King carried a special gift as per their dream
for God had given them foresight
the star settled on Bethlehem
and shepherds in fields heard the angels
singing such beautiful songs called carols
and they were not afraid
for in their hearts they knew a special one was born
In a lowly softly lit manger
a child was sleeping
he opened his eyes
to the sound of a donkey braying
but he did not cry
The wise me had found their king
and they bowed before him
for they knew he was the king of kings
and they knew he was a child of God
they presented him with three precious gifts
A jealous King had heard the stories
and had many children killed
but the child escaped
and with the gifts he received
his family lived away from home in safety
but he returned to see his people
