When the sounds of silence touches my mind
Looking around and nowhere to find
The presence of a human soul
To comfort these feelings of being all alone

I look into the distant skies
As I gaze at the beauty of a morning sunrise
They give me a warmth deep within
Hoping this feeling will rescend

I feel the coolness of the autumn breeze
Sending a chill right through me
Arms to hold me and love to feel
As your body heat would take away the chill

Where are you when these tears I cry
Why can't I hear your voice soothe my sighs
Did your love for me suddenly die
Do you still have the spark deep inside

I need you to feel my heart
The way our love was in the start
You used to know just what to say
When the pain inside consumed my day

I miss your soft and gentleness
When I needed some attention and tenderness
I want to feel your sweet caress
And taste the sweetness of your kiss

Tell me these feelings will subside
And dry these tears from my eyes
You are what I need in my life
Don't let the love we shared die inside!
