Its been so long
Yet Still I remember you
As the wind whistles its soft lullabye
I can hear the echoes of the past
And the babble of this sunny day by the brook
The lark sings here welcome home song
And I smile to hear her once again

Come lay with me
Let us talk of the many things we have done
The travel, new friends, old special friendships
It is so good to see you again
We will drink the wine of happy remembered times and places
Thankyou for that welcome smile
O the games we played

The words we wrote and read together
Tasting every verb and verse with known imagery and delight
Pages and pages of wonderful imaginings
Hikus, Stories, troilets, lymrics and free words
Each one a flower in a garden so unique
so now I'm back and look forward to good friendship
A place of quiet repose and a memory of a lady poet
