Fortress of Stone

A place in mind
A speck in time
Oneness with nature
With the stillness surrounding him

This fortress of stone not yet a home
Built just south of Nome
A gentle man lives alone
Sitting just looking at barren walls

Life void of love
His world void of color
For a single chance at love
He would give his last dollar

For now he sits alone
In his fortress of stone
With letters in hand saying
It may never be a home
