Subject: A Meadowlark's Cry

I felt in my heart, right from the start
That slowly the Meadow... would lose each lark
A few faithful friends remain and endure
For I am only one person to admire their work

Many have come... but don't even speak
They remain annoymous behind the trees
We all want to hear what other's feel
What our words express and what they reveal

Maybe I am not your choice
But feel free to speak your voice
I guess Joyce saw something inside me
A faithful friend... I will always be

Do you feel that I ask to much of you
To stop and comment to those you view
To give to our hearts what we all need
When we share with each other... our poetry

This Meadow is not mine... it is yours
Joyce created it for our hearts to enjoy
The beauty in each other's prose
A place to gather and feel like a home

Joyce's body has left us for now
But her spirit is so alive... among the clouds
I feel her presence everyday
For she is alive and without pain

Feel in your heart the words that I say
Penetrate the meaning they are meant to convey
Help me to keep the Meadow alive
For it was her wish before she died.
