Who put the holes in the hands of Christ
What is that emptiness that screams in one's stomach
How did we become so callous and unfeeling
Can somebody please explain gold to the poor
So much money given to one person
So many lies and deceit to get success
Why do we keep on ignoring the suffering

There's rice in the old bowel
Eat it with your dirty hands
You want more...there's nothing left
The waters dirty but thirst is strong
Its cold in this shelter
There's a hole in a shoe
The clothes are torn and ragged

Drugs and pushers ...glimmer a way out
Dead End ideas by well meaning peoples
Still executives reward themselves with millions
Take a walk in a poverty neighborhood
Feel the despair and hopelessness
Cry with mother of all the sick children
Cant afford medicine..cant afford school

Little children fossicking in rubbish dumps
Throwaway Teenagers becoming prostitutes
Crime and violence out of control
Politicians standing high on so called moral grounds
Nothing is being done to relieve it completely
So another child will die by the hour
Something must be done but not with fake hype
