Subject: An old one for the season

Homecoming

Through the snows and cold of winter,
We return though scattered far
To spend the loving holiday,
Where our friends and family are.

Both families of life
And families of friends.
We gather us all together,
As the year begins and ends.

Hold back the cold of ice and snow
With warmth from friends and fire.
Overcome chills of a wearying year,
With the given Son and a joyous choir.

As we journey on to home
With love swelling in our heart.
We celebrate a loving Christmas,
And give the new year a joyful start.
